About the Artist:

Paloma Bakchellian is an Argentinian artist living and working on the East End of Long Island, NY.

Paloma (b.1990, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an abstract painter that works primarily on large canvases and paper. She combines these two materials which she finds widely different, to create contrasts between carefully torn pieces of paper and the spontaneous but controlled brushstrokes that occur on the canvas, creating vertically-drawn abstract landscapes.

She lives and works on the East End of Long Island, NY after moving full time to the US from Argentina in 2021. Her studio is located in the woods of Sag Harbor. She graduated from Regina Pacis Art School in her home town of San Isidro in 2016. She has participated in various group shows since 2010 and had her first Solo Show in Palermo, City of Buenos Aires in 2019 in collaboration with Ether Arts Project. Her works are in numerous private art collections in the US, Mexico, Buenos Aires, and Australia.
